DESPERADO - THE EAGLES

VIDEO HOT TRACKS
Desperado - THE EAGLES

"Desperado" is a power ballad by the American rock band the Eagles. The track was written by Glenn Frey and Don Henley and appeared on the 1973 album Desperado as well as numerous compilation albums. Although it was never released as a single, it became one of Eagles' best-known songs. It ranked No. 494 on Rolling Stone's 2004 list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time"

According to Henley, "Desperado" was based on a song he started in 1968, written in the style of old songs by Stephen Foster. The song was originally about a friend named Leo and with the opening line "Leo, why don't you come to your senses..."

In 1972, after they had recorded their first album, Eagles, in London, Glenn Frey and Don Henley decided that they should write songs together, and within a day or two after returning from London they wrote "Desperado". They also wrote "Tequila Sunrise" in the first week of their collaboration.

Here is the finale track performance featuring Don Henley from the Farewell 1 Tour: Live from Melbourne by The Eagles, which was filmed in Melbourne, Australia at the Rod Laver Arena on November 14, 15 and 17, 2004.

DON'T LOSE MY NUMBER - SINGITLIVE

VIDEO HOT TRACKS
Don't Lose My Number (Phil Collins) - SINGITLIVE

"Don't Lose My Number" is a song by Phil Collins from his third solo album No Jacket Required. The single was not released in the UK, though it peaked at No. 4 in the U.S. in September 1985. The B-side, "We Said Hello Goodbye" was released as a bonus track on the CD for No Jacket Required. In Australia, the single was released with the title "(Billy) Don't Lose My Number".

Collins has stated that the original lyrics to "Don't Lose My Number" were improvised, and that he himself does not fully understand what they mean. He was also clueless on what to use as a theme for the song's music video, so he decided that it would show his decision process in selecting a theme for it. In the video, Collins talks to various "directors", who all give him ill-fitting production ideas for the video.

SINGITLIVE performs an upbeat rendition of Don't Lose My Number with a melodic blend of rolling drums and wailing guitar riffs.
