The trio met as sons of US Air Force personnel stationed in London, where they began performing live. Achieving significant popularity in the 1970s, the trio was famous for its close vocal harmonies and light acoustic folk rock sound.
The song Daisy Jane by AMERICA had peaked at Number 4 on September 20, 1975 while Lonely People had reached the Number 1 position on February 15, 1975 on Billboard's Hot 100.
