Upside Down is a song written and produced by CHIC members Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards. It was recorded by American singer Diana Ross. The song was issued from Motown as the lead single in 1980, from her eleventh studio album, Diana. 

The song Upside Down hit Number One on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on September 6, 1980. It also hit number one on the Billboard Disco and Soul charts. The single was released a full four weeks after the album was released. It held down the number one spot for four weeks.

I'm Coming Out was also written and produced by CHIC members Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers which was released on August 22, 1980, as the second single from Ross' self-tilted album Diana (1980). In November 15, 1980, I'm Coming Out had peaked at Number 5 staying for 23 weeks at the Charts.  

The song was another massive hit from the album, peaking at Number 5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Chart for two weeks in November 1980. It is also notable for being the first song usually performed at Diana Ross' performances and concerts since 1980.

The song became their 8th Top Ten hit in the UK, peaking at No. 3 on the UK Singles Chart. The song also charted highly in Australia, where it reached No. 12. It also made the Top Forty in the U.S., reaching No. 34, and in Germany, with a chart position of No. 26.

The trio met as sons of US Air Force personnel stationed in London, where they began performing live. Achieving significant popularity in the 1970s, the trio was famous for its tight vocal harmonies and light acoustic folk rock sound.

With a residency of 10 weeks on the chart, the song I Need You by AMERICA had peaked at Number 9 position on Billboard's Hot 100 in July 1, 1972.

While the song Easy Lover by Philip Bailey with Phil Collins had reached the Number 5 position in January 19, 1985 with a total residency of 13 weeks at the charts.

Following the success of her self-titled debut album, Madonna wanted to become the record producer of her next album. However, her label was not ready to give her the artistic freedom and she chose Nile Rodgers instead to produce the album due to his work with David Bowie (Let's Dance / Modern Love). Material Girl is a song recorded by American singer Madonna for her second studio album Like a Virgin (1984) which was also produced by Nile Rodgers. It was released on November 30, 1984, by the Sire label as the second single from Like a Virgin. The album was recorded at Power Station Studio in New York at a quick pace. Rodgers enlisted the help of his former Chic bandmates Bernard Edwards, who was the bassist, and Tony Thompson, who played drums.

They are one of the most successful pop-rock duo that consistently have a string of successive chart hits. They achieved their greatest fame from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s with a fusion of rock and roll and rhythm and blues. In 2003, Hall & Oates were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. 

With a residency of 21 weeks in the charts, I Can't Go For That had peaked to the Number 1 position at Billboard's Hot 100 on January 30, 1982. This live performance is from the February 8, 2012 concert held at the Sydney Entertainment Center, Sydney, NSW Australia.
